Trout Haven is an architect’s dream. The house sits tucked away amongst the trees behind a private gated entrance at the end of a paved driveway. The house was designed 22 years ago by the Cromwell Architects Engineers Firm based out of Little Rock and custom built by the craftsmen of Roberson Builders. The three-story home is a wonderful combination of stone, wood, and glass to capture the natural beauty of the surrounding property in a secluded, peaceful setting. Upon entering through the custom wood door entry, the home opens up into the downstairs great room with stone tile floors, high vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, a grand hearth with detached exterior chimney.
The kitchen features a long wood top bar, a central island with original Viking cooktop, Sub-Zero refrigerator, wine fridge, and double Viking Ovens. Additionally, behind the sink lies a hidden appliance garage.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a smaller reading/media room that opens to the outdoor patio overlooking the river. The downstairs master has high vaulted ceilings and a fireplace that mirrors the one found in the great room. Floor to ceiling windows on the north and south walls allow plenty of natural light, while a sliding glass door opens to an enclosed stone courtyard adjacent to the master. His and hers bathrooms feature beautiful custom stone engravings on the walls, vanities, and walk in showers. A large shared walk in closet separates the bathrooms. All kitchen/bathroom cabinetry, bookshelves, built-in counters/ desks, trim, and stone were custom built by Roberson Builder’s craftsmen.

Location:
Trout Haven is conveniently located roughly one hour and twenty minutes northeast of Little Rock. Located just ten minutes from the town and private airfield of Heber Springs in Cleburne County, the property sits at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in North- Central Arkansas. From Heber Springs, you travel over the massive Greers Ferry Dam overlooking Greers Ferry Lake to one side and the Little Red River to the other. The dam and trout hatchery is located less than half a mile upstream A winding hilly road along Rainbow Road and River Ridge Roads meets a gated community along Trout Haven Dr. Trout Haven sits on 12 acres at the end of this private road behind its own gated entrance.

Located in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, the property features an abundance of mature hardwoods that are lush green in the spring and summer months and display vivid shades of red, orange, and yellow during the fall. The steep incline behind the house on the north side of the property features granite outcroppings typical in the North-Central Arkansas. A footbridge over a small draw leads down to the river and boat dock where daily flows from Greers Ferry Dam alternate throughout the day based on power supply needs. The pale blue water of the Little Red River runs clear and cold year-round from the dam upstream. Across the river is a large parcel that was placed under a conservation easement to allow unobstructed views of the natural landscape not found anywhere else on the river.

Recreation/Hunting:
The tailwaters of the Little Red River offer world class trout fishing opportunities. Proximity to the dam and trout hatchery allow access for wade and float fishing nearly 365 days a year. The Little Red is world renowned for trophy class wild brown trout and stocked rainbow trout. A dock with two boat slips offers anglers the ability to easily navigate the many shoals and honey holes located up and down the 39 mile stretch of river that holds trout.
