Land:
Palo Pinto County is in the (Western) Cross Timbers Eco-Region of the state. The land characteristics of this area include very hilly terrain, with a variety of rock escarpments, steep slopes, and irregular terrain. These features combined with a variety of oak species and several other native forms of vegetation aid in the native beauty that encompasses the area. Early settlers found their way through this region traveling on the famous Goodnight-Loving Trail in search of homesteads for their families and their livestock. The rich history and lore of the area lend themselves to great stories around campfires with friends and families as the sun is slowly setting.
Water:
All the properties within the Sundance Club are serviced by a collection of communal water wells and a local cooperative water system. Waterlines have been designed and installed in the roadways to service the various lots. In addition to the water systems, there are a variety of large bodies of water that are ideal for fishing, swimming, and a variety of aquatic activities.
